FULL-TIME PROGRAM
Our program is based on learning centers and group activities with time for individual instruction and attention. Each child works at his/her own level and pace. Children explore their social and physical environment independently and as part of a group, with guidance from their teachers. Throughout their day children are provided with opportunities that nurture their creativity and stimulate their intellectual development.
Curricular areas that we cover include art, music, Spanish, Sign language, gymnastics, letter/number fun, science, cooking, computer, pre-writing, and math readiness. We teach and play a variety of outdoor games as well as participate in science/nature activities including gardening and wildlife observation in our very own Schoolyard Natural Habitat. Learning experiences become more meaningful through fully integrated curricular units.
Teacher-child interactions are always positive, caring and respectful. Teachers foster cooperation and facilitate problem-solving skills among children. Children are encouraged to make choices and take an active part in their self-care, play and learning time.
